A small team of three people, Gert & Anneke Heideveld and Bert ter Braak, links production companies and outlet markets for nursery stock products in Scandinavia and Eastern Europe. Our sales volume has doubled annually over the past four years. Heideveld bv coordinates lorry transport of large quantities of nursery stock products to various markets every season.
Our business was established in 1999. Prior to this we had years of experience in the export of nursery stock products. We are therefore very confident we know the market - the supply side as well as the demand side - inside and out. Thanks to this extensive knowledge of the market we can safely say that Heideveld can indeed ‘see the wood for the trees’.
Heideveld bv Bemiddeling boomkwekerijprodukten started out as an intermediary but has since developed into much more. Our company's role in the export sector is becoming more and more important, while the intermediary percentage of our total sales is decreasing proportionally.
Polish connection
Heideveld bv Bemiddeling boomkwekerijprodukten has a special relationship with Eastern European markets. The agency has a minority interest in the Polish Nifra company (www.nifra.pl). Nifra is a wholesaler and cash & carry in garden plants. The company is located in Wejherowo, about 60 km west of Gdansk, one of Poland important ports.
The Nifra company was founded in 1990. It offers a large range of young plants, trees, conifers, shrubs and climbers on a large scale of sizes up to solitaires of 6 metres. Heideveld supplies this cash & carry from the Netherlands, Germany and Italy. It goes without saying that Nifra also supplies the best of what Polish nurseries have to offer.
Through efficient buying, logistics and computer systems Nifra can offer a high standard of first quality plants at competitive prices. Garden centres, landscape gardeners, wholesalers and institutions can select their plants in the 30.000 m2 sales area. Nifra is exporting to countries like Russia, Scandinavia and the Baltic. This export has also been expanding over the last years. Nifra also takes care of the export documents and transport when necessary.
